Overview:
Looking for a Technical Illustrator with strong hands-on experience in PTC Arbortext IsoDraw 7.4 to create accurate 2D illustrations for installation and maintenance documentation in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Create and update 2D technical illustrations using PTC Arbortext IsoDraw 7.4
Develop illustrations for Installation and OAM manuals
Interpret engineering inputs: 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, specifications
Ensure compliance with company and industry documentation standards
Collaborate with technical writers and engineering teams
Apply consistent callouts, layers, symbols, and annotations
Support illustration updates based on engineering changes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Technical Communication, or a related discipline
3+ years of experience as a Technical Illustrator in an engineering or manufacturing environment

Overall 5 to 8 years experience
Mandatory hands-on experience with PTC Arbortext IsoDraw 7.4
Experience working with CAD-based engineering data (Creo / STEP / IGES)
Exposure to installation, service, OAM, or IPC documentation
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain illustration accuracy
Essential skills:
Strong hands-on experience in PTC Arbortext IsoDraw 7.4
Working knowledge of Creo
Experience as a Technical Illustrator in engineering or manufacturing domain
Understanding of mechanical assemblies, exploded views, parts breakdowns
Ability to work with CAD data (Creo / STEP / IGES)
Experience with Installation, Service, or IPC documentation
