Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing OSHA required safety training (HAZWOPER, Confined Space Entry / Rescue, Fall Protection etc). This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, meticulous documentation and a commitment to quality.
Position Details
  • Reports to: Director ARTC
  • Location: Leeds, AL
  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Pay: Salary ($85-$100k)
Essential Job Functions
  • Conduct in person training at Ambipar offices across the region
  • Document all training and exams
  • Assist with advanced technical training at the ARTC campus in Pueblo, CO
  • Maintains accurate records
  • Update the Ambipar LMS as required
  • Sell technical training to outside clients and regional clientele
  • Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and industry regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hazardous materials response and environmental
  • Minimum of 2 years instructional experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft powerpoint and excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Job Requirements
  • Hazardous Materials Technician
  • NFPA 1081 Industrial Firefighter
  • NFPA 1001/1002 Firefighter
  • Experience with product transfers
Work Schedule/Work Environment
  • The standard working hours are 7 AM – 4 PM. This candidate should be willing and available to work overtime as needed to meet project demands and deadlines, including extended hours, occasional nights, weekends and holidays when necessary
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sounds by ear
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment
  • May be exposed to non-hazardous and hazardous material
