Technical Interior Designer (Part Time)

Note: Although this role is mainly remote, candidates must be physically based in LA as client onsites are required as needed throughout the project journey.

Hanna Li Interiors is looking to immediately hire an Interior Designer with excellent technical skills on a part-time, contract basis. The ideal candidate is someone who can partner with us long term, with weekly hours ranging from 15-20 on a normal week, and up to 30-35 on a heavy week.

You will be working with us as an Independent Contractor, and will support the design team with mainly technical work such as plans, elevations, drawings, layouts, renderings, modeling, etc. Thus, you must have excellent technical & software skills. Our hope is that eventually, we can mold & shape your aesthetic eye to our visual language, so that in time, you can go beyond the technical work and start doing design, sourcing, and FF&E work.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from a top design/art institution
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in residential interior design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required), Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs & Sheets, 3D rendering software skills a plus
• Proficiency in interior design history, styles, furniture, current trends, and an eye for design & taste
• Good sense layout, spatial rules, architectural drawings, and design principles
• Excellent oral & written communication

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
