The Technical IT Operations Professional serves as an onsite IT lead for the Austin, TX location, supporting end users, local and remote offices, executives, lab manufacturing, and R&D environments. This role blends hands on technical support, project management, and business relationship management, with direct accountability for IT services that enable mission critical operations.
The position requires a high degree of autonomy, technical depth, and professional judgment, operating in environments where system availability, change control, and response time directly impact business outcomes

IT Operations & Site Support

  • Provide remote and hands‑on IT support for end‑user devices, peripherals, conference rooms, and other IT technologies.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex or high‑impact IT incidents.
  • Support workstation provisioning, break/fix, printing, and local infrastructure end points.
  • Ensure executive areas and shared spaces are operational.
  • Maintain critical IT security measures and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate vendors supporting onsite IT services, including hardware suppliers and OEM support.
  • Manage purchase orders, deliveries, onsite service activities, and vendor accountability.
  • Ensure IT assets are tracked and lifecycle‑managed according to enterprise standards.

Lab Manufacturing & R&D Support

  • Provide onsite IT support for business‑critical lab manufacturing and R&D environments.
  • Support IT components associated with lab systems, engineering workstations, and manufacturing‑adjacent technologies.
  • Respond rapidly to incidents impacting lab or manufacturing operations to minimize downtime.
  • Operate within regulated and controlled environments, adhering to access, change, and documentation requirements.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Lead and execute IT projects, including expansions, office builds, infrastructure upgrades, and technology refreshes.
  • Own project coordination activities including requirements gathering, scheduling, vendor engagement, execution, and transition to operations.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and business impacts associated with IT changes in production or lab environments.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to business and IT leadership.

Executive Support & Business Relationship Management

  • Provide and promote IT services to executives and senior leaders.
  • Act as the primary IT relationship manager for site leadership, lab management, and key stakeholders.
  • Translate business, manufacturing, and R&D needs into actionable IT solutions and delivery plans.
  • Represent IT in site‑level, operational, and leadership discussions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years experience in enterprise IT operations and site support with strong hands‑on technical execution.
  • 5+ years experience supporting business‑critical regulated environments (manufacturing, lab, R&D, healthcare, or engineering).
  • Experience providing executive‑level IT support with professionalism and discretion.
  • 2+ years demonstrated experience coordinating or leading IT projects from planning through execution.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across end‑user computing and enterprise IT environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Experience serving as a site IT lead or senior regional IT resource.
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Additional Qualifications & Certifications

  • Industry‑recognized certifications preferred, including:
    • Microsoft certifications (Modern Workplace, cloud, Windows, Azure a plus)
    • ITIL certification (Foundation or higher)
    • CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, or Project+)
    • Cisco certifications
  • Additional experience with Service Now, MFA, Mobility, and PowerShell are desirable.

The base pay range for this position is:

$78,070 - $107,349

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
