Technical Lead Designer

Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time Technical Lead Designer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Concept Design Handover: Taking handover from the concept design team; Continue leading the project to successful finalization, including preparation of necessary shop drawings, site visits, client meetings, internal meetings…

Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits (Minimum once a week)

Design Verification/Technical Review: Ensure the design is technically correct and executable.

Design Verification/Regulations & Standards: Ensure the design complies with local building and community regulations and standards.

Design Verification/3D Visuals and Drawings: Ensure 3D visuals match the drawings and take action if discrepancies arise by revising drawings with drafters or visuals with the concept design team

Design Verification/Drawings: Review the drawings, provide comments, and ensure the level of detail required for smooth on-site execution.

Design Verification/Material & Equipment Selection: Verify that the design is correct in the sense of material usage, durability, budget, and availability.

Project Execution process: Resolve potential issues during project execution, consulting the Concept Team only if it affects aesthetic or design intent; Coordinate with Concept Design team, when necessary to update 3D visuals, or changes have been requested by the client or other site circumstances;

Approvals: Ensure that all approvals have been completed by the client, as per the agreed timeline. Coordinate with the Concept Design team for approval of remaining design elements, materials…

Minutes of Meetings: Communicate with the client regarding all submissions with Minutes of Meetings (MOM)

PM Communication: Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager (PM) through email and weekly meetings

Documentation Control: Ensure final design documentation is uploaded in the system and that the PM team is updated about the latest modifications

Design team coordination: Coordinate with the FF&E designer and Concept Lead Designer to resolve potential issues that appear on-site during the construction of the project

Variation Request Monitoring: Monitor changes during project execution and raise a Variation Request to the Estimation department (related to the design, or comments that have been shared from the client to the Technical Lead Designer)

Teamwork: Support all parties of the Design team within skill sets to achieve high-end results.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• At least 7+ years experience in lead Interior Design within the fit-out and joinery industryin the UAE.
• Should have experience in Residential projects(villas)
• In-depth knowledge of fit-out interior design processes, materials, and costs.
• Strong analytical skills to accurately estimate project costs and identify potential risksand opportunities.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in using estimation software and tools.
• Familiarity with relevant Fit-out contracts and regulations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Leadership skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
