Role: Technical Lead - Workday HCM HR Module -IT Support Analyst
Location: Chesapeake, VA
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- 6+ years of Hands-on experience supporting Workday HCM HR Module.
- Maintain and support key Workday modules such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Benefits,
Time Tracking, Payroll, and/or Finance.
- Strong understanding of Workday configuration, business processes, and reporting tools.
- Experience troubleshooting Workday integrations (EIBs, Studio, Core Connectors, or Cloud Connect).
- Basic knowledge of Workday security administration and user provisioning.
- Proficiency with Workday Report Writer and calculated fields.
- Understanding of HR, Payroll, or financial business processes and data structures.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and adherence to SLA-based support

Roles & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday-related incidents,
service requests and technical inquiries.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to Workday configuration, integrations,
security roles, reports, and workflows.
- Monitor and troubleshoot inbound/outbound integrations between Workday and third-party systems
(e.g., payroll, benefits, identity management).
- Maintain and support key Workday modules such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Benefits,
Time Tracking, Payroll, and/or Finance.
- Configure and update Workday business processes, condition rules, notifications and
calculated fields as required.
- Create, test, and maintain custom and advanced reports using
Workday Report Writer and Prism Analytics.
- Support Workday bi-annual release cycles by analyzing new features, regression testing and
implementing relevant enhancements.
- Manage Workday Security Administration — assign and troubleshoot security roles and access requests.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance business teams to gather requirements and
design functional or technical solutions.
- Document configurations, data fixes, test cases, and resolutions in line with
change management and audit standards.
- Provide end-user support and deliver Workday training or guidance for key processes.
- Work with Workday Community and vendor support to track and resolve escalated issues.
Salary Range: $121,100 - $163,800
