  • ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

  • This role is accountable to monitor the Technical evaluation of home loans, MLAP carried out by Technical vendors and responsible for the valuations carried by in house technical team.
  • The role incumbent is responsible for evaluating, verifying and approving the tranche of the loan amount.
  • Oversees empanelment and assessment of the technical vendors across the region.

  • 600 Cr – asset Portfolio at PAN India level to be managed
  • Implement Micro LAP and scale up underwriting of secured & unsecured Agri products

  • All fintech partners, technical vendors and BCs associated/ to be associated with Rural banking
  • Manager credit function for all RB products across regions
  • Manage monthly disbursement of 60 Cr (Over 100Cr Projected)
  • 12,000 Credit files processed in a month


  • KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Business:
  • Works closely with the underwriting head at the location/ regions, Head office and develops robust technical evaluation norms.

  • Monitors the technical evaluation process across region.

  • Directly carries out the technical evaluation process on a need basis.

  • Responsible for empanelment of Technical vendor

  • Manages the vendors and in-house technical team involved in the technical evaluation process.

  • Carries out spot checks on a frequent basis.

  • Maintains and publishes MISs related to the technical evaluation.

  • Monitors handling of fraud cases on the technical front i.e. identification, handling, reporting and facilitates closure as per the action decided.

  • Maintains quality of Report on cost estimation, property identification & cost calculation, recommendation as per policy etc.

  • Oversees Loan Utilization check

  • Monitoring customer's work & guiding customers to complete work within estimated cost.

  • Establishes technical policy and practice of the valuation in purview of geography, town planning regulations, local practices etc.
  • Responsible for the technical survey of the new area, cluster in valuation terms and reports accordingly to the higher management.


Customer:
  • Closely co-ordinates with sales and credit team on technical appraisal of customers

  • Works closely with the legal counterpart on the technical evaluation front.

  • SPOC for all technical vendors and responsible for the timely repayment of the valuation service taken by the organisation.

  • Responsible for the renewal and reinstate the charges for the valuation.


Internal process:
  • Responsible for evaluation of tranche payment, Approval and recommendation of the same as per DOA/process

  • Identifies risks related to technical / property and reports to Risk/credit for process/policy improvement. Need to work closing with Risk and Credit department.

  • Takes technical related initiatives to strengthen Products and Processes
  • Maintains TAT targets for the technical evaluation process.


Learning & Performance:
  • Trains and evaluates the proficiency levels of the team on a regular basis.

  • Ensure adherence to training man-days/ mandatory training programs for self and reportees
  • Ensure goal-setting, midyear -review and annual appraisal process happens within specified timelines for self and reportees.


  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Educational
Qualifications

  • Diploma or BE in Civil Engineering or Architecture (B. Arch)

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience

Functional Skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and local language
  • Understands and executes the Procedure of estimating
  • Thorough knowledge of Methods of building estimates of residential projects, individual house and commercial properties.
  • Understanding of the Structural stability, impact of earthquake and other natural calamities on the residential/commercial projects-individual units.
  • Knowledge of local practices of the building structures across various localities.
