Technical Manager

This position is critical for the successful delivery of the Umluj Early Works Project, requiring strong technical leadership, proactive coordination, and hands-on involvement with all project stakeholders. Immediate availability is preferred, and a transferable IQAMA is required.

Functions and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all technical aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and standards

• Review all IFC docs analyzing differences from IFT

• Review, approve, and coordinate technical submittals, method statements, shop drawings, and material approvals.

• Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex construction issues related to but not limited to roads, utilities, deep excavation, tunnels, and piling works.

• Coordinate with consultants, designers, and stakeholders to resolve design-related issues and discrepancies.

• Ensure effective interface between design, construction, QA/QC, and HSE teams.

• Support construction teams in planning and sequencing works from a technical perspective.

• Monitor technical risks and propose mitigation measures.

• Ensure compliance with Saudi codes, project technical specifications, and international standards.

• Participate in technical meetings, progress reviews, and coordination meetings with clients and consultants.

• Support value engineering initiatives and technical optimization of construction methods.

• Assist in preparation of technical inputs for claims, variations, and change orders when required.

• Require and submit Tender, RFPs in collaboration with Tender and Procurement Depts.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong technical background in infrastructure, roadworks, utilities, deep excavation, tunneling, and piling works, but also extensive knowledge for the remaining disciplines

• Solid understanding of construction methodologies and design coordination.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• BIM, REVIT modelling knowledge

• Strong leadership and coordination abilities.

• Proficient in technical software, engineering tools, and project .

Prior professional experience:

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in large-scale infrastructure and construction projects.

• Proven experience in a Technical Manager or Senior Engineering role on similar projects.

• Experience working with multinational teams, consultants, and subcontractors.

Others:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple technical priorities.

• Willingness to be based in a remote project location.
