TECHNICAL MANAGER – Plastic Manufacturing

Position Overview
Technical Manager with a strong background in plastic manufacturing and production operations to lead the setup, construction, commissioning, and operational coordination of a new manufacturing facility. The role requires a strong techno-commercial profile with hands-on expertise in factory establishment, machinery, maintenance, project execution, and coordination with multi-disciplinary consultants and international stakeholders.

Preferred qualification: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Polymer Engineering or related engineering discipline.

Required Experience & Skills

Manufacturing & Production:
* 5 to 10 years’ experience in managing the below
* Strong experience in plastic manufacturing / production operations.
* Hands-on exposure to plastic processing industries and manufacturing systems.
* Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair works related to plastic manufacturing machinery.
* Proven capability in handling machine breakdowns and production issues.

Factory Setup & Project Execution:
* Experience in setting up new manufacturing plants/factories from the basic level.
* Exposure to Greenfield and/or Brownfield industrial projects.
* Experience in factory construction, commissioning, and operational startup activities.
* Ability to manage the full scope of project planning and execution.

Technical & Commercial Coordination:
* Strong techno-commercial exposure with administrative coordination capability.

Experience dealing with:
* Electrical consultants
* Civil consultants
* Electro-mechanical consultants

Exposure to procurement of:
* New machinery
* Production equipment
* Supply chain coordination

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the setup and commissioning of the new plastic manufacturing facility.
* Coordinate construction activities with contractors and consultants.
* Oversee machinery installation, testing, and production readiness.
* Handle maintenance planning and technical troubleshooting.
* Monitor project timelines, budgets, and execution milestones.
* Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams for machinery and materials.
* Liaise with the Abu Dhabi office regarding project updates and operational requirements.
* Support administrative and operational management functions.
* International experience/exposure in factory setup, commissioning, and industrial project execution preferred.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per hour
