Technical Manager - Steel

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Manager specializing in hot rolled steel structures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong leadership, in-depth technical knowledge, and excellent client-facing abilities to manage design projects in compliance with UAE and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading design and detailing of steel structures – industrial, commercial & infrastructure projects – PEB, HR & TENSILE (OPTIONAL).
• Expertise in connection design, member sizing, and optimization for economy & constructability.
• Hands-on experience with design software – STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, IDEA Statica, etc.
• Preparing and reviewing shop drawings, GA drawings, and fabrication details.
• Coordinating with clients, architects, and fabricators to ensure practical and code-compliant solutions.
• Strong understanding of international codes – AISC, BS, IS, and local authority standards.
• Managing design deliverables, reviewing calculations, and guiding the design team.
• Providing technical support during fabrication, erection, and inspection stages.
• Ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery of steel design packages.
• Leading value engineering and design optimization initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in steel design (hot rolled) in the UAE.
• Proven experience managing a design team and handling large-scale steel projects.
• Familiarity with UAE steel design codes and DM/Abu Dhabi approval processes.
• Strong client-facing skills and confident negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in structural design software (Tekla, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Revit).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Pay: AED14,000.00 - AED17,000.00 per month
