Technical Office Engineer - MEP

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Office Engineer specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to join our dynamic team in our well-established construction company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical and coordination aspects of MEP projects, ensuring that project specifications are met and that designs are executed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive MEP technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Coordinate design inputs from various stakeholders to achieve project objectives and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Review and evaluate shop drawings and materials submissions to confirm alignment with contract and design requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to MEP installation standards and practices.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to timely resolve technical issues and improve workflow.
• Prepare and maintain project records, reports, and documentation to track progress and budget compliance.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of three years of experience in MEP engineering within the construction sector.
• Proficiency in MEP design software, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant applications.
• Strong understanding of local building codes and industry standards pertinent to MEP systems.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, a keen attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
