Technical Operations Supervisor

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated 2nd Shift Supervisor to oversee production operations at our aluminum manufacturing facility. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in CNC machining, and hands-on knowledge of Fanuc-controlled equipment. The Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and productivity while coaching and developing a skilled team of operators and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and coordinate activities of production staff during the 2nd shift.

Oversee daily operations of CNC machines and Fanuc-controlled equipment to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Monitor production schedules, workflows, and output to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.

Troubleshoot technical issues with CNC and Fanuc machines and collaborate with maintenance when needed.

Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to build skills and maintain high performance.

Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain accurate shift reports, production records, and incident documentation.

Communicate effectively with 1st and 3rd shift supervisors to ensure smooth transitions and consistent operations.

Qualifications

Required:

5+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining and Fanuc controls.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Proven ability to coach, mentor, and manage production teams.

Familiarity with safety protocols and ISO/quality standards.

Preferred:

Background in aluminum manufacturing or related metals industry.

Experience implementing lean manufacturing or Six Sigma practices.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.

Schedule & Compensation

Shift: 2nd Shift (typically 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, flexibility may be required).

Pay: $55,631.11 - $66,996.60 per year
