Technical Program Manager, Robotaxi Service

What to Expect
The Robotaxi Engineering and Operations team is at the center of product design and deployment of autonomous vehicles. From the launch of Robotaxi on MY in 2025 to the revolutionary Cybercab product coming this year, team Robotaxi is at the cutting edge of AV technology. This role is responsible for adapting Tesla’s Service processes and systems to achieve the goals of the Robotaxi program. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, strong technical acumen, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex challenges, thriving in a fast-paced setting where adaptability and problem-solving drive the future of transportation.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement operational systems for Robotaxi Service, determining optimal maintenance cycles while minimizing downtime
  • Create maximal operational efficiency in the Service process through software or hardware automation
  • Develop strategy and execution ensuring Robotaxi products deliver on their operational cost target, regularly presenting to our executive team
  • Utilize field data to influence the hardware design of current and future Robotaxi products
  • Monitor key performance metrics, analyze operational data, and drive continuous improvements to enhance reliability and user satisfaction
  • Scale Robotaxi Service to new markets with field validation, assessing risks, and automation strategy development from real-world feedback
  • Deliver cross-functional operational synergy (engineering, software, Autopilot, service, finance) to meet program goals

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of experience in technical program management
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or related high-tech industries
  • Strong understanding of autonomous vehicle systems, software development, and hardware integration
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, sensor systems, and fleet management software
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and align cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations groups
  • Excellent communication skills to present technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels, including executives
  • Experience driving collaboration in fast-paced, innovative environments with ambiguous or evolving requirements

Expected Compensation
$112,000 - $253,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
