Technical Project Manager

Technical Project Manager – ERP (US Market)

1. Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (ERP) to lead end-to-end

delivery of ERP implementation, upgrade, and integration projects. The ideal candidate

will bring a strong combination of project management expertise, technical

understanding, and ERP domain knowledge, with the ability to manage global

stakeholders and drive successful delivery outcomes.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Project Delivery & Execution

 Lead full lifecycle ERP implementations (Discovery → Design → Build → Test →

Deploy → Support)

 Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risks

 Ensure alignment with business objectives and IT strategy

 Drive Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery models

2.2 Stakeholder Management

 Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, IT teams, and

vendors

 Communicate effectively with CXOs, business users, and technical teams

 Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure high client satisfaction

2.3 Technical Oversight

 Understand ERP architecture, integrations, and data flows

 Oversee API integrations, data migration strategies, and system customizations

 Collaborate with architects and development teams for solution validation

2.4 Governance & Compliance

 Establish and enforce project governance frameworks

 Conduct steering committee meetings and status reporting

 Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements (e.g.,

SOX)

2.5 Risk & Issue Management

 Identify, track, and mitigate project risks proactively

 Manage change requests and scope control

 Handle issue resolution and escalation effectively

2.6 Team Leadership

 Lead cross-functional teams (functional, technical, QA, integration)

 Mentor project managers, leads, and consultants

 Drive team performance, accountability, and engagement

2.7 Go-Live & Hypercare

 Ensure production readiness including data validation, user training, and cutover

planning

 Manage post-go-live hypercare and stabilization phase

3. Required Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

(Master’s preferred)

 8–15+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years in project or program

management

 Proven experience in ERP implementations such as Oracle, SAP, Odoo, or

similar platforms

4. Technical Skills

 Strong understanding of ERP architecture and enterprise system integrations

 Experience with APIs (REST/SOAP), middleware, and integration frameworks

 Knowledge of data migration tools and strategies

 Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud)

5. Project Management Skills

 Expertise in Agile (Scrum), Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies

 Experience with tools such as Jira, MS Project, Azure DevOps, or Smartsheet

 Preferred certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master (CSM/SAFe)

6. Soft Skills

 Strong communication and presentation skills

 Leadership and decision-making capability

 Conflict resolution and stakeholder management

 Client-focused consulting mindset

7. US-Specific Expectations

 Experience working with US clients and time zones

 Familiarity with SOX compliance and data privacy regulations

 Experience managing onsite-offshore delivery models

 Ability to lead and execute projects with offshore development teams, ensuring

effective collaboration through flexible working hours and timezone overlap

8. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

 Experience in multi-country ERP rollouts

 Functional knowledge of Finance, Procurement, or Supply Chain modules

 Pre-sales, estimation, or solutioning experience

9. Key Success Metrics

 Business value realization and user adoption

10. Work Model

 Location: US / Remote / Hybrid

 Travel: Up to 20–30% depending on project needs

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
