About Lightstream

Lightstream is a full-service marketing agency specializing in brand development, campaigns, websites, video, and digital strategy. We help financial institutions and other businesses strengthen their brand presence and connect with their audiences through compelling storytelling and seamless digital experiences.

We’re a collaborative, creative, and dedicated team that loves turning ideas into beautiful, functional digital experiences.

The Role

If you excel at bringing structure to creative environments, this role may be an excellent fit. You combine strategic thinking, technical fluency, and problem-solving skills, with a strong command of CMS platforms, particularly WordPress. You collaborate effectively with UX professionals, designers, and developers, guiding projects from concept to completion.

At Lightstream, we’re not looking for a project manager who simply passes messages between the client and the development team. We need someone who instills strength and confidence in every interaction. You’ll bring credibility, technical understanding, and calm leadership that reassures clients they’re in expert hands and gives the production team clear, informed direction.

This role demands hands-on knowledge of WordPress, strong technical awareness, and the ability to confidently discuss site structure, functionality, and CMS best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the project lifecycle from kickoff through launch, ensuring every milestone hits on time, on budget, and in scope.
  • Own client relationships by setting expectations, communicating clearly, and translating technical details into plain English (and vice versa).
  • Coordinate the team by collaborating daily with designers, writers, and developers to keep deliverables aligned and moving forward.
  • Plan smartly by creating project plans, schedules, and budgets that keep everyone focused and confident.
  • Anticipate challenges and project scope increase. Projects have hiccups; your job is to stay calm, find solutions, and keep things on track.
  • Champion quality by reviewing deliverables for accuracy, usability, and consistency before clients ever see them.
  • Keep improving by refining processes, documentation, and communication to make each project smoother than the last.
  • Oversee post-launch maintenance, updates, and enhancements as needed.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in a digital agency or web development environment.
  • Proven experience managing WordPress website builds from start to finish.
  • Solid understanding of how websites are designed and built, from UX and design to front-end and CMS implementation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both clients and internal teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail. You notice when things are one pixel off or when content doesn’t match the brief.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Workamajig, BugHerd, or similar.
  • Bonus points if you know the basics of HTML/CSS, accessibility, or SEO.

How You’ll Succeed Here

This isn’t a “checklist PM” role. You’ll have autonomy to make judgment calls, suggest better ways of doing things, and drive projects forward. You’ll be empowered to raise flags, solve problems, and deliver top-tier work even when resources are lean.

We’re a small but mighty team, creative, scrappy, and focused on building exceptional websites. You’ll collaborate with designers, developers, and strategists who love what they do, and you’ll have a direct hand in shaping the digital experiences we create for our clients.

In short, you’re not just managing projects, you’re the steady hand that guides them to success. You bring the experience and confidence that make clients feel secure and the team feel supported.
