Technical Publications Specialist

Position Overview:
We are looking for a tech-savvy Technical Publications Specialist to own the documentation and localization lifecycle for our CAD and Home Design products. This role is central to creating clear, user-friendly content and leveraging modern AI tools to enhance and accelerate our content creation and localization processes. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in migrating our documentation platform and ensuring our global users have a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the migration of documentation from MKDocs to a modern, scalable platform.

· Create and maintain clear, accurate, and comprehensive product documentation in English.

· Capture and edit high-quality screenshots and videos to illustrate features and workflows.

· Manage the end-to-end localization pipeline, utilizing AI tools to streamline translation while ensuring high-quality, contextually appropriate results.

· Collaborate closely with development teams to document new features as they are built.

· Establish and maintain documentation standards, style guides, and terminology databases.

Required Qualifications:

· 3+ years of experience in technical writing, with a portfolio demonstrating clear and effective documentation.

· Proven experience with documentation migration projects.

· Strong affinity for using AI tools to improve content quality and localization efficiency. Must be skilled at crafting precise prompts and providing adequate context to generate high-quality, accurate outputs.

· Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

· Proficiency with screenshot and basic video editing software.

· Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and document complex CAD/3D Modeling software.

· Ability to work effectively on-site during core business hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Direct experience documenting CAD, 3D modeling, or home design software.

· Experience with multiple documentation platforms (e.g., GitBook, Confluence, Paligo).

· Formal understanding of software localization best practices and workflows.

· Experience building and maintaining a structured content strategy.

· Familiarity with JIRA for task tracking, sprint planning, and cross-team coordination.
