We are expanding into a new business vertical focused on specialty aluminium and steel grades used in marine, aerospace, and oil & gas applications. We are looking for an experienced technical professional who can lead this product line from the ground up — including supplier development, technical qualification, sales support, and market expansion. This role requires strong metallurgical knowledge, familiarity with industry certifications, and experience with end-users who specify high-grade materials. � Key Responsibilities 1. Product & Technical Expertise Identify and validate suitable grades (e.g., 5083, 6082, 7075, duplex/super duplex, Inconel, Hastelloy, etc.) Ensure compliance with industry standards (ABS, DNV, API, ASTM, AMS, ASME etc.) Review and interpret mill test reports, certificates, QA documentation, and traceability requirements. Provide internal training on specialty alloys and applications. 2. Supplier & Inventory Development Build and manage relationships with key mills, master distributors, and processors. Assess supplier capabilities, pricing, certification processes, and MOQ structures. Recommend stocking strategy for high-demand grades and dimensions. Support procurement with technical clarification and sourcing. 3. Sales & Business Development Identify and engage customers in marine, aerospace, O&G, machining, fabrication, and industrial sectors. Support the sales team with technical presentations, customer meetings, and specification guidance. Generate technical quotations and assist in negotiating large accounts. Monitor competitor activity, market pricing, and demand trends. 4. Quality & Compliance Ensure materials meet required specifications before delivery. Maintain documentation for traceability and quality audits. Coordinate with QA for handling NCRs, replacements, and quality incidents. 5. Strategy & Growth Build a 12–24 month roadmap for expanding the specialty alloys division. Recommend new products, services, and differentiation strategies. Assist in achieving revenue, margin, and inventory-turn targets. ✅ Key Requirements Technical Background 5–10 years experience in specialty metals, aerospace alloys, marine-grade aluminium, or oil & gas materials. Strong understanding of: Alloy properties and applications Temper designations (T651, H116, etc.) Duplex/super duplex metallurgy High-performance alloys (Inconel, 17-4PH, etc.) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Industry Knowledge Experience dealing with customers in at least one of the following: Shipyards & marine fabrication Oil & gas EPCs, fabricators, machining shops Aerospace machining, tooling, or MRO High-spec manufacturing or industrial distribution Soft Skills Strong technical communication Confident in customer-facing environments Good negotiation skills Ability to work independently and build a vertical from scratch Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability Education (Preferred but not required) Degree or diploma in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. � What We Offer Competitive salary + performance-based incentives Leadership role in building a high-margin business unit Opportunity to work directly with mills, high-tech industries, and premium clients Supportive environment where your expertise shapes the future of the company
