Job Description

The Business developer is responsible for driving sales growth by leveraging technical expertise to assist customers in understanding the capabilities and benefits of our products and services. This role requires a combination of sales acumen and technical knowledge to effectively explain and sell supply chain solutions.

About us:

StokSmart is an IT solution allowing retailers and supply chain to have a year-round stock accuracy. StokSmart is a “stock optimization” app, powered with AI, giving the capability to perform stock takes, check expiry dates, anticipate stockouts/shrinkages and manage staff and loss prevention tasks. An all-in-one software making sure that the data in the ERP is aligned with the reality on the ground.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Finding new customers and creating a sales relationship with potential buyers
  • Maintain the sales pipeline created by the marketing team and build relationships with leads and prospects.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the functionality and advantages of our offerings.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns targeted at potential clients.
  • Gather feedback from customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor products to effectively position our solutions in the market.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts in a timely manner.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to network and promote company offerings.
  • Meeting sale quotas and commission goals
  • Traveling to meet with customers (most of the time remote demos) or to lead instructional demonstrations for a product
