Our current focus is on bringing advanced technology solutions to the GCC market, specifically the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We serve clients in industrial sectors including manufacturing, logistics and distribution centers, and smart buildings with AI-powered solutions leveraging Industrial IoT, predictive maintenance, and edge analytics.
The Role
The Technical Sales Manager serves as the critical technical validation engine in our sales process, combining technical expertise with business development acumen. You will be the primary technical resource for the sales team, responsible for understanding operational challenges and architecting comprehensive solutions for our clients. This role requires system level technical capability in IoT systems, AI/ML analytics, and industrial asset management, and high client engagement and solution selling skills.
You will lead the journey from discovery and solution architecture through product demonstrations, technical documentation, and Proof of Concept (PoC) management.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Architecture
- Conduct comprehensive technical discovery sessions with clients to uncover operational challenges, asset health issues, and business drivers related to predictive maintenance, IIoT, and industrial analytics
- Design and architect tailored solutions that address specific client needs, incorporating sensor networks, edge computing, cloud platforms, and AI analytics
- Perform asset criticality assessments and prioritization using condition monitoring data and analytics tools
- Develop detailed Solution Design Documents (SDDs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) that outline technical approach, system architecture, integration requirements, and implementation roadmap
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, software, data science, and engineering teams to refine solution designs and ensure technical feasibility
Technical Validation & Demonstration
- Conduct expert-level product demonstrations and technical workshops showcasing AI-powered predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, and optimization capabilities
- Translate complex technical concepts including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, spectral data, and machine learning models for both technical and executive audiences
- Provide diagnostic insights
Proof of Concept Management
- Own the complete PoC lifecycle from scoping and planning through execution, analysis, and final presentation
- Analyze raw operational and maintenance data collected through platforms
- Develop and present findings with clear recommendations
- Document PoC results with quantifiable business outcomes and technical performance metrics
Systems Integration & Technical Implementation
- Ensure seamless integration with existing client systems
- Work with internal and partner technical teams to address data connectivity, API requirements, and interoperability challenges
- Support cloud and edge configuration across AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments
- Provide guidance on networking requirements, cybersecurity considerations, and IT/OT convergence
Client Engagement & Technical Advisory
- Serve as the trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, building credibility through domain expertise and practical problem-solving
- Bridge between client stakeholders and internal/partner engineering teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications
- Own technical responses for all RFPs, RFIs, and technical questionnaires
Required Qualifications & Experience
Technical Expertise
- 5+ years in a pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting role serving enterprise clients with AI/IIoT solutions
- Strong domain knowledge in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, and Industry 4.0 technologies
- Deep technical understanding of industrial assets including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment
- Practical knowledge of AI/ML solution implementation including data collection, feature engineering, model training, and deployment
- Hands-on experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Grafana) to support PoC delivery
Business & Sales Acumen
- Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering technical PoCs that resulted in closed business
- Ability to quantify solution value, calculate ROI, and articulate business cases for technical investments
- Experience developing technical proposals, SDDs, and SOWs for complex enterprise solutions
- Presentation and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders
Education, Certifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering, or related technical field
- Professional certifications such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional), CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer)
- Previous experience in reliability or maintenance engineering within manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, or transportation industries
- Familiarity with industrial control systems, SCADA environments, CMMS platforms
- Experience implementing solutions in GCC markets
