Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Sales Manager
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales and business development strategies for food ingredients, flavors, seasonings, and functional blends in line with company goals.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in snacks, bakery, dairy, beverages, sauces, meat processing, ready-to-eat, and FMCG sectors.
- Expand customer portfolio through direct sales, distributors, and contract manufacturers.
- Analyze market trends, customer demands, and competitor products to strengthen market positioning.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability objectives.
2. Technical Sales & Application Support
- Provide technical guidance to customers on product selection, formulation, dosage, and application.
- Assist customers in product development, reformulation, and cost optimization while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct product trials, sensory evaluations, and application testing at customer sites or company labs.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to flavor performance, shelf life, stability, and sensory profile.
- Act as a key technical liaison between customers and internal R&D, QA, and production teams.
3. Product Development & Innovation Support
- Collaborate with R&D to develop customized flavors, seasonings, and functional blends based on customer requirements.
- Support new product launches, including technical documentation, sampling, and customer trials.
- Provide market feedback to guide innovation, reformulation, and improvement of existing products.
- Assist in evaluating new raw materials and suppliers from a technical and regulatory perspective.
4. Key Account Management
- Manage and grow key national and regional accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements within approved authority limits.
- Ensure timely order processing, production coordination, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and handle complaints in coordination with QA and production teams.
5. Regulatory, Quality & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure all products and sales activities comply with Pakistani food regulations, including:
- Support compliance with Halal certification, ISO 22000, HACCP, and FSSC 22000 requirements.
- Provide customers with technical data sheets, ingredient declarations, allergen statements, MSDS, and COA.
- Ensure formulations comply with food safety, labeling, and permissible additive regulations.
- Support internal and customer audits related to food safety and quality.
6. Distributor & Channel Management
- Appoint, train, and manage distributors and sales partners across Pakistan.
- Provide technical and commercial training to distributors’ sales teams.
- Monitor distributor performance and recommend improvements or corrective actions.
- Support distributors in key customer visits and technical presentations.
7. Sales Team Leadership & Coordination
- Guide and support sales executives with technical product knowledge and application expertise.
- Conduct internal training sessions on products, applications, and market segments.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, QA, logistics, and finance teams for smooth operations.
- Support management in manpower planning and sales force development.
8. Market Research & Reporting
- Conduct regular market surveys and customer visits to gather industry insights.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and new product launches.
- Prepare sales forecasts, monthly performance reports, and technical summaries for management.
- Assist in budgeting and annual business planning.
9. Commercial & Financial Responsibilities
- Ensure profitable business by managing pricing, discounts, and margins.
- Coordinate with finance for credit approvals and recovery of outstanding payments.
- Minimize commercial risks by assessing customer creditworthiness and market conditions.
10. Customer Relationship & Brand Representation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with food manufacturers, R&D teams, and quality departments of customers.
- Represent the company at food exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events.
- Promote the company’s brand as a reliable and technically competent food ingredient supplier.
11. Continuous Improvement & Professional Development
- Stay updated on food technology trends, flavor innovations, regulatory changes, and consumer preferences.
- Participate in training programs, seminars, and supplier workshops.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Eligibility Criteria;
· Qualification ; Food Technologist (Msc – Food Science/ Technology)
· Professional Experience ; 5-7 years in Food, Flavours industry in sales & marketing (relevant / same domain)
· Age Bracket; 35 – 40 Years

Pay: Rs120,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
