Job Summary
The Technical Sales & Marketing Engineer is responsible for driving sales growth by combining technical engineering knowledge with strategic sales and marketing activities. The role includes developing client relationships, managing the company’s online presence, generating sales leads, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and supporting project execution across AST Advanced Solutions and its affiliate companies.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
* Identify, develop, and pursue new sales opportunities through organic outreach, lead generation, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
* Build, maintain, and grow strong long-term relationships with clients, ensuring continuous support, follow-ups, and coordination of payments when required.
* Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives set by management.
* Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, contracts, financial analysis, and ROI assessments.
* Educate potential customers on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and energy independence.
Marketing & Online Presence
* Create, maintain, and support a strong online presence for the company across digital platforms.
* Design, publish, and manage social media content aligned with the company’s branding and marketing strategy.
* Support marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and generate qualified leads.
* Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to improve marketing and sales strategies.
Technical & Project Support
* Conduct site assessments and technical evaluations when required.
* Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs), technical documentation, and engineering inputs as requested by management.
* Support ongoing projects by coordinating tasks, assisting with timelines, and providing technical and commercial support to project teams.
* Liaise with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure accurate technical solutions and smooth project execution.
Client Support & Professional Conduct
* Act as a technical point of contact during pre-sales and post-sales stages.
* Handle sensitive company and client information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
* Represent the company professionally in meetings, site visits, exhibitions, and client engagements.
Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field).
* Experience in technical sales, marketing, or business development, preferably in solar or engineering sectors.
* Strong technical understanding with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear customer benefits.
* Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to prepare technical documents, BoQs, proposals, and financial analyses.
* Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
* Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems; social media marketing experience is an advantage.
* Willingness to travel as required.
