Technical Solution Manager (Energy Storage)

Key Responsibilities


1. Solution Design & Optimization

• Lead the design of energy storage solutions across grid-side, generation-side (renewable + storage), and standalone/shared energy storage power stations

• Develop integrated system solutions covering PCS, EMS, BMS, and substation systems

• Analyze grid dispatch requirements and technical challenges in renewable grid integration


2. Tendering & Bidding Support

• Take the lead in large-scale energy storage project tenders

• Prepare technical proposals, including equipment selection, system topology design, and technical deviation analysis

• Ensure compliance, competitiveness, and technical excellence of proposals


3. Customized Project Development

• Evaluate system integration solutions for utility-scale storage projects

• Conduct electrical calculations and simulation analysis for various applications (frequency regulation, peak shaving, black start, etc.)

• Support sales teams in cost estimation and pricing strategy at project level


4. Full Lifecycle Technical Management

• Support project execution from design through construction and delivery

• Resolve technical issues related to electrical interfaces, communication protocols, and grid integration

• Provide technical support during operation & maintenance phases


5. Policy & Market Insights

• Track regional energy storage policies (capacity compensation, spot market rules, grid connection requirements, etc.)

• Analyze market dynamics and regional characteristics

• Contribute to white papers and technical roadmap reports for grid-side energy storage


6. Project Development Enablement

• Develop technical documentation such as:

• Utility-scale ESS development guidelines

• Grid connection FAQs

• Delivery & acceptance SOPs

• Deliver technical training to sales and project teams to accelerate commercialization


7. Competitive Analysis

• Benchmark leading competitors (e.g., Sungrow, HyperStrong)

• Conduct SWOT analysis and provide strategic insights

• Support product evolution in areas such as high-voltage cascade systems and liquid cooling technologies



Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Power Systems, Electrical Engineering, High Voltage Engineering, or related fields

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the energy storage industry

• Proven experience supporting utility-scale (100MWh+) energy storage projects is preferred


Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of primary and secondary electrical design for energy storage systems

• Familiarity with protection systems, grid compliance testing, and SCADA/communication protocols

• Experience with power system analysis; proficiency in simulation tools such as PSCAD or ETAP is a plus


Soft Skills

• Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to represent the company in technical reviews with grid operators, EPCs, and clients


Documentation Skills

• Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to produce structured, high-quality proposals and reports
