Technical Support Engineer – Mechatronics
Location: 6th of October City, Egypt
We are looking for a skilled Technical Support Engineer (Mechatronics) to provide expert technical assistance, maintenance support, and troubleshooting for our automated systems and equipment.
About the Role
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be the go-to person for diagnosing and resolving technical issues across mechanical, electrical, and control systems, ensuring minimal downtime and reliable operation of equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mechatronic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control components
- Diagnose faults in PLCs, sensors, motors, actuators, and automation equipment
- Respond to technical issues raised by clients or internal teams, both remotely and on-site
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines and systems
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and testing of new equipment
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and troubleshooting documentation
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve system performance and reliability
- Train operators and maintenance staff on proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
- 3–4 years of experience in technical support, maintenance, or field service roles
- Good knowledge of PLC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical assemblies
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Willingness to travel for on-site support when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SCADA/HMI systems and industrial networks
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial automation environments
