Technical Team Lead (VoIP / Asterisk)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Wavetel Business Ltd is a UK-based telecoms provider delivering hosted VoIP, SIP trunking, cloud PBX, and business broadband solutions. We are looking for an experienced Technical Team Lead to oversee our VoIP and PBX support operations from our Lahore office.

You will lead a skilled technical support team, act as the escalation point for complex VoIP and SIP issues, and help build the processes and standards that keep our operations running at their best.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the technical support team
  • Provide advanced support for VoIP, PBX, and SIP-related issues
  • Work across multiple PBX platforms — BT, 3CX, Yeastar, and Asterisk-based systems
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SIP servers, domains, and VoIP services
  • Handle escalated issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Oversee remote customer support and maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Develop support processes, documentation, and best practices
  • Coordinate with internal teams (technical, field, billing, sales)
  • Train and upskill team members on new technologies and tools

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong hands-on experience with Asterisk
  • Deep knowledge of VoIP technologies and PBX systems
  • Solid understanding of SIP protocols, server and domain management
  • Proven experience leading and managing a technical support team
  • Background in remote support environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's in engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Experience with cloud-based telephony solutions
  • Networking knowledge: VoIP, SIP, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls
  • Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools
  • VoIP, Networking, or Asterisk certifications (a plus)

Pay: Rs200,000.00 - Rs250,000.00 per month
