Technical Training Specialist (Fire Fighting)

Plans,organizes, and coordinates fire training programs ensuring training resourcesand aids are fit for purpose and in accordance with NFPA, ICAO, IFTSA and RSAFstandards.

TrainRSAF personnel and trainees to include both grade 20 and 30.

Physicallyand medically fit to train students on all practical aspects in firefighting andstructural.

Performstheoretical training in a classroom setting.

Performstechnical evaluation of RSAF trainees.

Demonstratesthe ability and competency of using the computer and Microsoft Office packages.

Worktasks may be performed in hazardous and extreme adverse conditions.

Able todemonstrate the proper operation of fire vehicles, equipment, trainingsimulators, computers and classroom aids.

Requirements

Aircraftand Structural Rescue Firefighting skillset:

Highlyskilled Fire Protection Specialist/ Instructor.

Minimum10 years' experience in a fire service

Minimum3 years' experience as instructor/trainer.

Haveserved as fire supervisor and trainer on a military/civil airfield.

Performall aspects of ARFF and structural theory and practical fire fighter training.

Excellentability to communicate effectively in English, either verbally, written orusing electronic media.

Familiarwith NFPA, ICAO, IFSTA procedures and regulations.

Familiarwith ARFF and Structural Fire vehicle pumps and operations.

Have alicense to drive and operate specialized fire vehicles.

Amedical qualification in level 3 first aid or higher will be advantageous.

Home Leave Ticket Stipend paid monthly with base salary.
