Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer (3-4 months Contract) to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation for our web-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in documenting software products, and web technologies, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and maintain technical documentation for help and guides within the application flow.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, Project managers, and UI/UX designers to gather information and ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Write and edit documentation that adheres to style guides, industry best practices, and internal standards.
• Create how-to guides, tutorials, and knowledge base articles for internal and external stakeholders.
• Document web application workflows, system configurations, and integration processes.
• Work with development teams to ensure documentation is updated in parallel with product releases.
• Ensure content is structured for reusability, localization, and accessibility.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, English, Technical Communication,or related field.
• Proven experience (2+ years) as a Technical Writer in software product or web-based application development environment.
• Proficiency in documentation tools.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and present them in a clear, concise, and structured manner.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development cycles and familiarity with developer workflows.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
• Exposure to content strategy, information architecture, and UX writing.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 3-4 months

Pay: ₹296,922.95 - ₹1,344,477.08 per year
