Summary
Duties and responsibilities related to the Technician role:
Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on guest rooms and public areas, including checking HVAC filters, lighting, and plumbing fixtures.
Respond immediately to guest complaints regarding room maintenance (e.g., AC not cooling, clogged drains, faulty lights) to ensure guest comfort.
Carry out general repairs across multiple trades, including basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and painting/polishing.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, such as fan coil units, pumps, and kitchen appliances.
Conduct daily rounds to inspect plant rooms, read utility meters, and monitor critical systems like boilers and chillers.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, spare parts used, and time spent on tasks using the hotel's work order system.
Ensure all work is performed in strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations and hotel safety policies (e.g., Lockout-Tagout).
Assist other engineering teams (specialists) during major repairs or projects as needed.
