Job Summary :
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for all mechanical-related work involved in the fabrication, assembly, and preparation of PLC and control panels. This includes panel cut-outs, drilling, installation of mechanical components, earthing systems, and panel coupling, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with technical drawings and standards.
Roles & Responsibilities :

Perform mechanical cut-outs on control panels for operators, meters, push buttons, indication lamps, selector switches, and other panel-mounted devices.

Drill and prepare holes for push buttons, pilot lamps, cable glands, ventilation fans, and accessories as per layout drawings.

Install and assemble earth bus bars, ensuring proper earthing and bonding of panels and internal components.

Carry out panel coupling and alignment for multiple-section panels, ensuring correct leveling, bolting, and mechanical integrity.

Mount mechanical accessories such as DIN rails, gland plates, cable ducts, mounting plates, hinges, locks, and ventilation systems.

Read and interpret GA drawings, panel layout drawings, and mechanical assembly instructions.

Ensure precision, neat finishing, and proper deburring during all mechanical work.

Follow safety procedures and use appropriate tools and PPE during fabrication and assembly.

Perform minor rework or modifications as required during panel assembly or inspection stages.

Maintain tools and ensure workplace cleanliness and organization.
QHSE Responsibilities :

Actively participate in QHSE meetings and complete all required safety inductions and trainings.

Identify and report unsafe conditions; take corrective action where possible within your scope.

Requirements
Job-Specific Education & Certification :
Education

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, or a related technical trade .
