Technician (Fire and Safety)

Technical for Fire and safety is responsible for determining the fire and safety management system and authorizing the elements required for fire and safety related works in liaise with project manager. This includes but not limited to quality and safety controls, planning, operational processes, risk assessment and fire and safety documentation.

Ø Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.

Ø Assess and highlight incompetence.

Ø Communicate requirements to fire and safety Technical Manager.

Ø Fire and safety technical authorities are responsible for determining the fire and safety management system and authorizing the elements required for fire and safety relating to:

• The equipment management system (specification and control).

• Risk assessment and hazard analysis.

• Operating processes.

• Record keeping and review.

• Personnel selection, training, competence and tracking.

• Quality and safety controls.

• Incident management reporting and review.

• Fire and safety documentation (e.g. planning, risk assessment, safety paperwork, forms, policies and procedures).

• Appropriate standards and regulation (e.g. applicable standards and legislation).

Ø Maintain an awareness and understanding of all applicable regulations, codes, standards, and specifications, as well as company policies and procedures.

Ø Provide training, as necessary, to affected personnel, including customers, to obtain program compliance, process efficiency and effectiveness, cooperation, continued education, and morale.

Ø Participate in other general administrative and technical activities such as cost reduction methods, communications, safety, housekeeping, and employee training.

Ø Update and improve the competencies of fire and safety technicians by providing technical training.

Oversee all Safety aspects of company, as well as day to day fire and safety & other specialized operations.

Ø Diploma/high school.

Relevant technical certificate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,250.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
