Job Profile – Technician – Maintenance, Cotton Ginning Mill

Job Title: Technician, Ginning Machine Maintenance

Reporting to: Manager -Production / GM -Plant

Location: Northern Region, Nigeria

Responsibilities :

• Monitoring the process of ginning from seed cotton feeding to bale formation.
• Responsible for the mechanical maintenance of machines.
• Supervising the electrical maintenance and that of generators and compressors.
• Monitoring all repairs and breakdown issues and logging them down.
• Overseeing the annual mechanical and electrical maintenance of production and utility machines.
• Preparation of a list of imported items required annually for season–end maintenance.
• Keeping track of technical items taken outside for repairs and modifications.
• Issuing out items from Stores as required by the operations.
• Taking regular monthly inventory. Maintain details of spares and consumables and ensure timely requisition to avoid any slippages.

Qualification/Experience:

• ITI -Mechanical engineering from a Govt-approved institute in India or

12th pass

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the cotton ginning factory, with 5 to 6 years of independent and direct hands-on ginning machines
• Maintenance work experience
