- Carries out routine and non-routine metal cleanliness assessments using metallurgical measuring equipment during casting from liquid metal at all casting stations as per metallurgy services department requirements, and enters the results in the report. 
- Collects product samples for metallography studies to measure different metallurgical characteristics. 
- Uses mechanical equipment to prepare samples for macrostructure study and delivers samples to the main metallurgy lab for micro examination. 
- Carries out sample preparation for macro etching and metallurgical assessments as directed by senior department members. 
- Maintains metallurgical testing equipment clean and in good working condition. 
- Takes routine and non-routine samples for chemical composition analysis. 
- Maintains adequate stocks of consumables and spares for equipment used in metallographic and metal cleanliness activities. 
- Maintains metallographic and metal cleanliness sampling records to ensure samples and measurement data are easily retrievable. 
- Actively participates in the suggestion scheme program. 
- Carries out verification of test methods as per set frequency. 
- Understands and implements the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 as per the latest revision.
