The QC Technician is responsible for testing finished goods to ensure they meet customer specifications and established quality standards. The role includes making necessary process or batch-level adjustments based on test results and investigating any nonconformities or product failures. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate QC records, retaining control samples, performing internal calibration of laboratory and QC equipment, and ensuring compliance with 6S practices within the laboratory to maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
Perform routine and non-routine testing of finished goods in accordance with approved methods, specifications, and quality standards.
Evaluate test results and recommend or implement necessary batch-level adjustments to ensure product conformity.
Identify, investigate, and document finished product nonconformities or failures, including participation in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely quality control records, test results, and related documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Retain, manage, and properly store finished goods control samples as per defined retention requirements.
Conduct internal calibration, verification, and routine checks of QC and laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
Ensure compliance with laboratory 6S requirements, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Follow established SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality system requirements at all times.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, testing efficiency, and laboratory practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
0–1 year of relevant experience is preferred, particularly within the polymer, plastics, or masterbatch industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret test data and identify trends or deviations.
Sound decision‑making skills to support timely and effective quality‑related actions.
High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in testing, documentation, and reporting.
Good command of the English language for effective communication and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data recording, reporting, and communication.
