JOB PURPOSE
The role holder is responsible for performing safe and effective maintenance activities, including electrical, electronic, mechanical, and utility systems, in compliance with HSE and company standards. The aim is to optimize machine efficiency, ensure smooth equipment operation, and support the achievement of production targets.
Additionally, the role holder will ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out according to established standards, that maintenance checklists (daily, weekly, monthly) are regularly updated and analyzed to minimize machine breakdowns, and spare parts inventory levels are properly maintained to prevent shortages.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Completion of assigned project & maintenance schedule as per agreed timelines and set standard, ensure milestones and performance measures are met.

Diagnose the machine malfunctions in Krones lines, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

Assist in assembling, installing, testing, and commissioning new machinery and equipment.

Regularly inspect electrical/mechanical systems in the filling, labelling, blow-moulding areas, and components to identify the issue needed for repair and take necessary corrective measures to provide timely remedies.

Attend to all troubleshooting issues in an efficient way to improve overall machine efficiency and reduce production wastage.

Review, understand, and identify the root cause for all major breakdowns (mechanical / Electrical) and provide timely remedies

Provide training and guidance to operators and maintenance technicians on the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automation systems.

Ensure proper management of Automation and MES documents (manuals, diagrams, instrument data sheets, software packages/licenses) through efficient filing and archiving procedures.

Ensure all HSE, GMP, and food safety standards are followed while performing the maintenance activity.

Ensure all plant and machinery equipment has interlocks and guarding in place as per safety guidelines and protocol

Keep a record of all the maintenance activities done in the production line
Skills & Qualifications
-
Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

4+ years of experience in the Beverage or Water industries

Experience of working on high-speed 5-gallon and PET lines (Krones/SIDEL, SBO - filling, labelling, blow moulding, etc)
-
knowledge of VFDs, HMI Alarm Reset & Troubleshooting
