TECHNICIAN - WELDING

To carry out fabrication works namely manufacturers spare parts, underground high voltage electrical joint boxes and workshop tools by using technical drawings for equipment maintenance.

To carry out structural repairs and modifications of items of lifting equipment i.e. Container and Mobile Cranes, RTGs for operational requirements.

To ensure welding methods are in compliance with DP World Standards, Safety and Procedures thereby creating a safe work environment.

To select the correct welding method and pre-heating procedures required for each individual job in an accurate and effective manner.

To ensure working platforms are available prior to working on equipments like cranes for safety purposes.

To complete assigned work on time to avoid delays in operations

To keep abreast with new welding techniques and new equipment to seek improvements in existing materials and techniques.

To provide guidance to Associate Technicians as and when required to maintain quality of work across the organization.
