Job Purpose:

This role involves ongoing care and structured maintenance of outdoor green areas, ensuring that visual standards and plant health are maintained.

The position combines 'hands-on work' with seasonal planning and area-specific upkeep in compliance with company standards and project's requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plant, cultivate, prune, water, fertilize, and maintain flowers, trees, shrubs, grass, and other vegetation.
• Conduct regular maintenance of gardens, lawn areas, and landscaped zones.
• Carry out planting, trimming, watering, fertilizing, and cleaning tasks as required.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and machinery effectively.
• Support seasonal adjustments to planting layouts and vegetation care routines.
• Monitor plant condition and report observations requiring attention or action.
• Maintain cleanliness, visual order, and functionality across designated zones.
• Must have knowledge of gardening and needs of the different kinds of plants.
• Should have knowledge in applying fertilizers and other necessary chemicals.
• Must have passion in plants and fit to work outdoors.
• Should also be able to use all the landscaping tools for trimming, weeding, transplanting, fertilizing, mowing etc.
• Identify plant health issues such as pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, and apply appropriate treatments.
• Monitor irrigation systems to ensure adequate watering and adjust as needed.
• Ensure proper disposal of green waste and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear while working.
• Collaborate with the Landscape Supervisor to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Knowledge of plant species, soil types, fertilizers, pesticides, and irrigation.
• Ability to operate basic gardening equipment and small tools.
• Physically fit to handle outdoor labor in varying weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality landscapes.
• Able to notice deficiencies and report to the team leader.
• Must be able and willing to learn, grow and develop.
• Background in agriculture and basic knowledge in landscaping preferred.
• Basic communication skills (Arabic or English preferred).

Preferred:

• Certificate or diploma in Horticulture, Landscaping, or related field.
• Previous experience in a contracting or large-scale landscaping company.
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Be courteous and wear work uniform and PPE.
• May require flexible working hours depending on project needs.
