Capital Markets Technology Business Operations Lead – Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technology Business Operations Lead to join our team. This role sits within the JLL Capital Markets technology group, which is responsible for the platforms and products used by Capital Markets brokers, valuers, and their teams. In this role you will oversee all aspects of technology business operations, working closely with technology product, engineering, procurement, finance, and tech operations teams globally to ensure efficient operational delivery and financial stewardship for JLL's Capital Markets Group. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex technology operations in a fast-paced environment, delivering operational excellence while supporting strategic business objectives.
What this job involvesAs a Technology Business Operations Lead at Capital Markets JLL Technologies you will be responsible for:
Financial Management and PlanningParticipating in annual budget planning, forecasting, and monthly financial tracking
Managing labor allocations and resource planning across technology teams and projects
Overseeing labor capitalization processes in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
Coordinating monthly and quarterly accruals for technology expenses and capital investments
Conducting regular impairment reviews of technology assets and investments
Providing financial analysis and reporting to support technology investment decisions and business cases
Contract and Vendor ManagementManaging end-to-end contract lifecycle for technology vendors, suppliers, and service providers
Leading vendor selection processes, negotiations, and relationship management when needed.
Ensuring contract compliance, performance monitoring, and vendor scorecard management
Coordinating with procurement teams on technology sourcing strategies and cost optimization initiatives
Managing vendor onboarding, offboarding, and renewal processes
Overseeing contract administration including amendments, renewals, and terminations
Operations ManagementEstablishing and maintaining technology business operations frameworks, processes, and governance
Coordinating operational cross-functional initiatives across technology product, engineering, and business teams
Managing technology resource allocation and capacity planning
Leading operational risk management and compliance activities
Supporting technology audit activities and regulatory requirements
Leading technology operations transformation and process improvement initiatives
Collaborating with finance teams on technology cost management and optimization
Stakeholder Management and CommunicationEngaging stakeholders across technology, finance, procurement, and business functions
Providing regular operational reporting to technology leadership and executive stakeholders
Supporting business reviews, presentations, and communications related to technology operations.
Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or related field.
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant IT business operations experience, preferably in technology organizations within commercial real estate and/or financial markets
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and accounting principles
Proven track record in contract management, vendor management, and procurement processes
Experience with labor capitalization, accruals, and technology asset management
Background within complex global organizations with technology product and engineering operating models
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
Knowledge of technology operations including software development lifecycle, cloud operations, and IT service management
Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks applicable to technology operations
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Strong project management and organizational abilities
Detail-oriented with strong process management and continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
