Technology Superintendent

Provides day-to-day technology support for both office staff and field crews working on active construction projects. This role assists the Technology Manager with maintaining company hardware, supporting jobsite connectivity, helping employees access company systems, and coordinating with external IT vendors when technical issues arise.


The position plays an important role in ensuring that project teams have reliable access to the tools, devices, and internet connectivity needed to work efficiently in both office and field environments.


Key Responsibilities

Jobsite Technology & Field Support

  • Assist with deploying and maintaining technology used on construction job sites, including laptops, tablets, mobile phones, and mobile hotspots.
  • Help set up internet connectivity for project sites using solutions such as Starlink or cellular hotspots.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for field personnel experiencing technology or connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate with project management to ensure crews have reliable access to project systems, drawings, and documents.


Hardware Deployment & Asset Support

  • Assist with preparing and configuring company devices for new employees.
  • Help maintain inventory records for laptops, mobile devices, and other company technology equipment.
  • Support replacement, upgrades, and repairs of company hardware.
  • Coordinate with the managed IT provider when devices require service or advanced troubleshooting.


Mobile Device & Field Equipment Support

  • Assist with setup and enrollment of company mobile phones, tablets, and field connectivity devices.
  • Help manage mobile device assignments and ensure equipment is properly issued to employees.
  • Assist with deploying required mobile applications used by field personnel.


User Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide day-to-day technical assistance to employees who need help accessing company systems, files, or applications.
  • Assist users with resolving login, access, or device configuration issues.
  • Support employees when remote support from the IT vendor requires physical access to equipment.


Software Access & Licensing Support

  • Assist the Technology Manager with user account setup and access requests.
  • Help coordinate software license assignments for employees.
  • Support employees in using company software tools and applications as needed.


Business System Support

  • Assist with day-to-day user support for construction management and operational software used by project teams.
  • Help employees resolve access or usage issues related to project documentation, reporting, and collaboration tools.
  • Support internal teams with basic troubleshooting and coordination with system administrators when necessary.


Vendor Coordination

  • Assist with coordinating technical support requests with the company’s managed IT provider.
  • Help communicate issues, collect troubleshooting information, and facilitate device access when needed.
  • Support coordination with external vendors involved in company technology services.


Departmental Support

Provide technology support to internal departments using various company systems, including:

  • HR platforms used for employee records and onboarding
  • Safety compliance systems used for contractor and training documentation
  • Learning and development platforms used for employee training

Responsibilities include assisting users with access requests, troubleshooting, and coordinating with system administrators when needed.


Work Environment

  • Supports both office personnel and field construction crews.
  • May involve occasional travel to job sites or company yards to assist with equipment setup or troubleshooting.
  • Works closely with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to resolve technology issues that impact daily operations.
  • OSHA 10 required

  • Supports a growing construction organization with hundreds of employees working across multiple active job sites.
  • Assists with maintaining company technology equipment used by both office staff and field crews.
  • Works under the direction of the Technology Manager to ensure employees have reliable technology and connectivity needed to perform their work.
