Job Responsibilities for Assistant Project Manager:

• Requires good experience with Structural Steel Detailing & Designing work.

• Day-to-day management of projects and staff to ensure quality, client standards and schedule requirements is met.
  Thorough knowledge of client standards of JMT, Modeling procedures & Checking procedures.

• Should not cut corners to deliver the package.

• Ensure that review comments from NA PM are followed and not repeated in the projects again.

• Should be able to respond and understand Asana and Slack instructions related to the project.

• Provide technical guidance to drafting and junior engineering personnel and coordinate design and drafting work within assigned areas.

• Manage RFIs and ref info sets.

• Handled the team of Modelers, Checkers Editors to achieve desired results.

• Ensure all the office procedures, manuals, and client standards are understood and followed meticulously by the staff.

• Keeping track of schedules and deliverables on all the jobs

• Ensuring all RFI responses have been incorporated into the model.

• Should be able to handle the project in PM's absence.

• Should have good knowledge of the project

• Attention to detail: Drawings have the presentation and are arranged to look neat. Details per design sheets are closely followed and implemented. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other design documents to ensure they understand the intended design and can accurately represent it in their work.

• Fonts, spacing, and dimensioning should be neat and per JMT Standards in drawings.

• Looking up past projects for solutions while doing modeling.

Qualifications:

• Advanced level of knowledge of Tekla Structures.

• Must have knowledge of AISC & CISC Standards.

• 5+ years’ experience as a Steel Detailer willing to consider candidates who are able to
  demonstrate
  significant experience in a related field.

• Considerable proficiency and experience in working on Commercial US Projects.

• Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction, fabrication, and the ability to read drawings.

• Proven project management and coordination skills.

• Self-motivated and ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance.

• Deadline driven with an attention to detail.

• Must have 5+ years’ experience in AISC / CISC Projects.

• Must have good communication skills. (Written & spoken).

• Must have good experience in Model Checking.

Education:

• Under Grad: B. Tech/B.E. - Civil, Mechanical

• Diploma: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization, PG Diploma - Any Specialization, Civil, Mechanical
