Telecom Analyst 1

Construction Partners Inc., a publicly traded highway infrastructure company, is currently seeking a Telecom Analyst 1 to join the team in Dothan, AL.

Who You Are
A highly organized, detail-driven professional eager to build a career spanning telecom, project coordination, and IT operations. Deep networking knowledge is not required, but the ability to follow a runbook precisely, every time, across dozens of sites is. You are a natural note-taker, a meticulous tracker, and someone who follows things through to closure without being asked twice. You work under the direction of senior staff, taking clearly defined tasks off their plates and executing them with care and consistency. The measure of your success is simple: every task you touch is done right, documented, and closed.

Who We Are
Construction Partners, Inc. is one of the fastest-growing civil infrastructure companies in the United States, specializing in the construction and maintenance of roadways across five southeastern states. CPI has a proven track record of successfully buying and integrating companies and is considered a \"buyer of choice\" among owners seeking to sell. Our senior management team has successfully acquired and integrated approximately 60 companies over the course of their decades-long careers. Every acquisition brings new circuits, devices, accounts, and phone systems — and this role is at the center of making those transitions seamless.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute circuit installation and turn-up tasks as directed: coordinate scheduling with ISPs, track milestones against the install timeline, and update circuit inventory records at each step.
  • Maintain the circuit inventory: keep records current for all CPI locations including provider, circuit type, speed, cost, and status; flag records that appear outdated or incomplete.
  • Gather circuit provider information for new site or acquisition requests as directed: pull quotes, document options, and organize findings
  • Monitor circuit billing records; flag discrepancies, unexpected charges, or potential savings to management for follow-up.
  • Track circuit transition tasks during acquisitions or new builds: follow the defined checklist, update status, and communicate progress to management.
  • Execute routine carrier portal tasks as directed: line activations, deactivations, SIM swaps, and device assignments across Verizon, AT&T, and other carrier accounts.
  • Run monthly line audit reports as directed; organize and format findings for management to analyze and act on.
  • Maintain cellular inventory and usage tracking spreadsheets; keep device assignments, line statuses, and cost data current.
  • Enroll devices into the enterprise enterprise MDM platform following defined runbooks; ensure device compliance and proper policy assignment at enrollment.
  • Execute device lifecycle tasks as directed (device ordering, reassignment, wipe-and-reissue, and decommission), following the standard process each time.
  • Maintain accurate MDM device inventory; ensure all managed devices have correct user assignments, group memberships, and compliance status.
  • Follow the device enrollment program workflow for new and acquired iPhone devices; escalate enrollment errors to management.
  • Document legacy phone system inventories at acquisition sites using the standard template; compile findings for the management to use in migration planning.
  • Assist with VoIP migration tasks as directed: coordinate endpoint shipping and setup, assist with user provisioning in the enterprise VoIP platform, and track task completion on the migration checklist.
  • Execute routine enterprise VoIP platform administration tasks: add/remove users, update call routing assignments, and reset voicemail pins following defined procedures.
  • Track telecom hardware orders and deployments; maintain inventory records for phones, headsets, and related equipment including warranty and end-of-life dates.
  • Coordinate hardware logistics for acquisition sites: confirm order status, track delivery, and communicate readiness to the project team.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for all telecom assets, circuits, accounts, and devices; proactively identify and close documentation gaps.
  • Follow the telecom acquisition onboarding runbook precisely at each acquisition; document completion of each step and flag any deviations.
  • Willingness to travel to branch and acquisition sites when necessary (multi-state).

Minimum Requirements

  • 1-2 years of combined experience in IT support, telecom coordination, help desk, project support, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed procedures and runbooks precisely and consistently.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail; able to manage task lists across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Excellent documentation habits; ability to maintain accurate records, checklists, and spreadsheets.
  • Comfortable making routine requests through vendor and carrier portals; escalates anything outside defined scope.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel or equivalent, for tracking and record-keeping.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; proactively communicates status and flags blockers without being asked.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with carrier portals (Verizon Business, AT&T Business, or similar) for routine account tasks.
  • Experience with an enterprise MDM platform such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Apple Business Manager (ABM) and iOS device enrollment.
  • Exposure to VoIP platforms such as Zoom Phone, RingCentral, Microsoft Teams Phone, or similar.
  • Experience working in a multi-site or distributed IT environment.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
