Telecom Design Engineer – Structured Cabling, Wireless & CCTV

Job Summary

Pulsar Communication System is hiring a Telecom Design Engineer with strong experience in structured cabling, wireless network design, and CCTV systems.
The role requires end-to-end responsibility: design → BOQ → supervision → testing → handover.

You must be comfortable working on commercial, Oil & Gas, and marine projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Engineering (Core Requirement)

• Design Structured Cabling Systems (Copper & Fiber) for:
• Data, Voice, Wi-Fi, CCTV, IPTV, Access Control
• Prepare:
• Network topology diagrams
• Cable routing layouts
• Rack layouts & schematics
• Design Wireless Networks (AP placement, coverage planning, capacity).
• Design CCTV systems (camera layout, storage, network architecture).
• Use AutoCAD, Visio, or similar tools for drawings and schematics.

2. BOQ & Technical Documentation

• Prepare accurate BOQs for:
• Cat6 / Cat6A / Cat7
• Fiber optic (SM/MM)
• Racks, switches, APs, CCTV equipment
• Develop technical specifications and compliance documents.
• Support commercial team during tender and proposal stage.

3. Installation & Supervision

• Supervise installation teams for:
• Structured cabling
• Wireless & CCTV systems
• Network devices (Switches, Routers, APs)
• Ensure compliance with TIA/EIA, ISO, and project standards.
• Coordinate with site teams, vendors, and contractors.

4. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Fiber testing using OTDR.
• Copper certification using Fluke testers.
• Prepare test reports, as-built drawings, and handover documents.

Mandatory Requirements (Applications Without These Will Be Ignored)

• Education:
• Bachelor’s in Telecom / Electrical Engineering
• OR Diploma with strong proven experience
• Experience:
• Minimum 2–5 years in structured cabling & network projects
• Technical Skills:
• AutoCAD / Visio (mandatory)
• BOQ preparation (mandatory)
• Fiber splicing & testing
• Networking basics (Cisco / Aruba / Ubiquiti)
• Work Environment:
• Willing to work on Oil & Gas, Marine, and remote sites
• Visa Status:
• Visit Visa only
• Must be ready to join immediately

Preferred (Strong Advantage)

• CCNA, BICSI, or equivalent certification
• Experience in CCTV design and implementation
• Experience in Wi-Fi planning and coverage design
