Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer – Production Testing Management to join our CIT QA – Test Execution & Automation team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in telecom BSS/OSS testing, end-to-end test execution, SQL/Oracle validation, UNIX basics, and exposure to test automation.

This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, middleware teams, and junior QA engineers to ensure high-quality releases and smooth production deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end Telecom BSS/OSS testing projects
• Analyze requirements and perform test case design, test execution, defect logging, and test reporting
• Validate backend data using Oracle DB / SQL queries
• Perform basic UNIX-level troubleshooting using common commands and scripts
• Conduct initial analysis of middleware system issues (e.g., TIBCO)
• Prepare detailed test cases based on requirement and design documents
• Execute test cases, analyze results, and document defects clearly
• Support and contribute to test automation architecture and execution
• Estimate testing efforts and develop testing strategies
• Review and maintain QA artifacts and documentation
• Track new requirements and manage test readiness
• Coordinate hardware and software setup required for testing
• Identify and proactively manage project risks
• Communicate testing status with project leadership and stakeholders
• Review reports prepared by junior QA engineers
• Mentor and guide junior QA team members
• Ensure timely delivery of testing milestones and issue resolution

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 5–9 years of experience in Software Testing / Telecom QA
• Strong experience in:
• Manual Test Execution
• Test Case Preparation & Review
• Test Planning & Estimation
• Test Management Tools
• Hands-on experience with SQL / Oracle
• UNIX user-level knowledge
• Exposure to test automation
• Prior experience in Telecom provisioning & billing systems
• Knowledge of telecom platforms such as:
• Granite
• CRM systems
• Concept Wave
• BSCS

Preferred / Optional Skills

• Experience with tools such as:
• JIRA, RTC, RQM, ADO
• Selenium
• PL/SQL
• Performance testing exposure
• Strong understanding of telecom software testing lifecycle

Education

• BE / BTech / MCA / Any Engineering degree
