Telecom Installation Lead (Railway)

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Installation Lead (Railway) to oversee and manage the installation and implementation of railway telecom subsystems. The role involves leading installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with approved designs, standards, and safety requirements, and acting as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, subcontractors, and project management. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and coordination skills to drive successful delivery of telecom works in railway projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the installation and commissioning of telecom subsystems including GSM-R, Access Control, CCTV, PAVA, Fire Alarm, and related systems.
• Act as the primary interface with subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure smooth execution of telecom works.
• Prepare and review installation plans, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines.
• Ensure all installations are carried out as per approved designs, drawings, and product specifications.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation measures to maintain project quality and schedule.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, and verification of installed systems to confirm compliance with design and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with the design, quality, and HSE teams to resolve technical and site issues promptly.
• Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and installation records for project management and client submission.
• Lead discussions with subcontractors to resolve interface issues and ensure seamless integration of different telecom systems.
• Drive adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all telecom installation activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in telecom system installation within the railway industry.
• Proven expertise in implementing telecom subsystems such as GSM-R, Access Control, CCTV, PAVA, Fire Alarm, LAN, and related technologies.
• Strong knowledge of railway telecom standards, installation practices, and safety regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in leading subcontractors, installation teams, and technical coordination on large infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in project planning, scheduling tools, and progress tracking.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve conflicts effectively.
