TELECOM TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:

The Telecom / Radio System Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of radio communication and transmission systems, ensuring reliable and efficient network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, operate, and maintain radio communication systems, including TETRA systems and OTN systems.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of VHF and UHF radio systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in radio transmission and network equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and system diagrams.
• Coordinate with engineers and technical teams for system upgrades and expansions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate service and maintenance records.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Radio Systems, TETRA Systems, and OTN Systems.
• Strong knowledge of VHF and UHF radio communications.
• Ability to test, troubleshoot, and maintain radio and transmission equipment.
• Must be able to present valid certification from a recognized radio system provider or authority.
• Minimum of 3–5 years relevant experience in telecom or radio system operations.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with public safety or mission-critical communication systems.
• Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) testing tools and equipment.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on field assignments and in challenging environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to QAR4,000.00 per month
