Telecommunication Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunication Engineer with strong expertise in 3CX and Avaya systems, solid networking fundamentals, and proven project management experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise telecommunication solutions while leading projects from planning to successful delivery, and handling day-to-day telecom operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain telecommunication systems, including 3CX and Avaya platforms
• Manage and support VoIP, IP telephony, PBX, and unified communication systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve telephony, voice, and call quality issues
• Handle daily telecom-related tickets, ensuring timely resolution
• Be proficient with ticketing systems for logging, tracking, and reporting issues
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports on system performance and tickets
• Work closely with IT and network teams to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure
• Handle telecom-related projects, including planning, execution, risk management, and documentation
• Lead system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for support and escalations
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in telecommunication engineering
• Strong expertise in 3CX and Avaya systems (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)
• Solid understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, SIP, QoS, routing, switching)
• Experience with VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP)
• Proven project management experience, including end-to-end delivery
• Experience handling daily tickets and using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy)
• Ability to create reports and dashboards for system performance and issue tracking
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
• Telecom or networking certifications (Avaya, 3CX, CCNA – desirable)
• Experience working in enterprise or multi-site environments with UAE driving license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
