Position Overview
Abundant Home Care is seeking a dependable and tech-savvy Telehealth Support Aide to assist patients with virtual medical visits in their homes. This role ensures a smooth telehealth experience by setting up devices, assisting with online forms, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.
This is an ideal position for individuals who are patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable with tablets, laptops, and online platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Setup & Support
Set up and troubleshoot tablets/laptops for video visits
Ensure Wi-Fi connectivity and proper audio/video functionality
Assist patients with logging into telehealth platforms
Begin setup 20 minutes before scheduled appointments
Registration & Form Assistance
Guide patients through online registration and consent forms
Share device and walk patients through each required field
Enter information accurately and confirm spelling and dates
Troubleshoot form submission errors
Confirm successful completion before leaving the home
Visit Facilitation
Escort patients through the telehealth process:
Joining the waiting room
Connecting with the provider
Supporting communication if needed
Ensure visit is completed before departure
Documentation Collection
Assist patients with submitting Power of Attorney (POA) or Healthcare Proxy documents
Collect photos or PDF copies when required
Send documents to the Clinical Nurse (CN) team as directed
Safety & Observation
Observe patient environment for safety and comfort
Escalate concerns appropriately to clinical staff
Qualifications
Comfortable using tablets, laptops, and basic technology
Strong communication and customer service skills
Detail-oriented with accurate data entry ability
Reliable transportation
Ability to maintain HIPAA confidentiality
Experience in home care or healthcare preferred (not required)
