Description
Works under the direct supervision of Clinical Operations leadership utilizing Provider Protocols, Organizational Policies and Standing Operating Procedures (SOP). Patient care is 100% telephonic in the Experience Center with hybrid remote performance-based opportunities. Assists staff, providers, residents, and medical students telephonically with patient care, clerical, and organizational tasks using a team-based approach. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the care services. May be assigned to specific medical department and/or specialty (e.g., surgery, cardiology, neurology) to help with patient care related to that department and/or specialty or may be expected to cross-cover multiple departments/specialties. Works closely with supervisor to ensure responsibilities defined below are fulfilled in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Required:
Certification of Medical Assistant Training Program
CMA/RMA Certification/Registration - Required
BLS/AED Certification
Key Accountabilities

Understand and be able to communicate with patients telephonically information regarding patient care tasks that were performed such as vital signs, physical examinations, injections, diagnostic testing and report patient signs and symptoms in a professional and concise manner to provide positive patient experience.

Perform Patient Experience essential telephonic functions such as registration, pre-registration, demographic updates, and patient medical record portal guidance that ensure operations are maintained for the patient according to standard.

Conduct accurate scheduling by phone, fax, email, or patient portal request that includes updating demographic information, insurance records, patient liability information to promote a seamless patient experience.

Provide quality patient care on the phone while completing related tasks that include:

Implementing standing orders

medication refills per protocol
-
communicates prior authorization updates or provider approval updates placed in records.

entering testing orders and communicating results

reviews documented care instructions.
