Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health care, with experience in various settings including inpatient and outpatient environments. This role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and delivering psychotherapy to patients of all ages, including children and geriatrics. The Psychiatrist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and crisis management.
- Manage medication regimens through psychopharmacology, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Offer specialized care for pediatric patients and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Provide PTSD care and addiction counseling as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote patient consultations when appropriate.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in data collection and quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed residency in Psychiatry.
- Post-residency experience preferred, particularly in behavioral health settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation, and patient assessment techniques.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a psychiatric setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with crisis management strategies and mental health counseling practices.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including geriatrics and individuals facing addiction challenges.
- Proficiency in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care models.
- Experience with telehealth services is a plus.
