Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate Indian Classical Music Teacher to train students in Hindustani Classical Music. The teacher will be responsible for imparting structured, disciplined, and performance-oriented training while nurturing students’ musical understanding, confidence, and artistic expression.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Training
- Conduct regular classes in Hindustani Classical Vocal / Instrumental Music
- Teach fundamentals including Swar, Shruti, Raag, Taal, Laya, Alankar, Aroha-Avaroha
- Train students in Alankars, Paltas, Bandish, Khayal, Dhrupad, Bhajan, Tarana, and light classical forms (as per level)
- Ensure correct voice culture, pronunciation, sur, taal, and rhythm
2. Structured Curriculum Delivery
- Follow the academy’s defined syllabus and grading structure
- Prepare students for Prayag Sangeet Samiti examinations and internal assessments
- Plan lessons according to beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels
- Maintain continuity and progression in students’ learning
3. Practical & Performance Training
- Prepare students for stage performances, baithaks, recitals, and annual functions
- Conduct riyaaz guidance and monitor home practice
- Train students in accompaniment coordination (Tabla / Harmonium / Tanpura)
- Encourage confidence, presentation, and stage discipline
4. Student Assessment & Feedback
- Regularly evaluate students’ progress through tests and practical evaluations
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents
- Maintain attendance, progress records, and examination readiness
5. Classroom Management & Discipline
- Ensure a disciplined, respectful, and positive learning environment
- Maintain punctuality and professional conduct
- Handle students of different age groups with patience and empathy
6. Collaboration & Academy Support
- Coordinate with instrumental teachers and accompanists
- Support academy events, workshops, examinations, and cultural programs
- Contribute ideas for curriculum enhancement and student engagement
Desired Skills & QualificationsEducational & Musical Qualifications
- Formal training in Hindustani Classical Music (Guru-Shishya Parampara / University / Music Board)
- Degree or certification such as Prabhakar, Visharad, Alankar, Sangeet Bhaskar or equivalent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
