Bank of Bird-in-Hand is actively seeking a Teller I to join our team at our Intercourse Branch. The Teller I receives and pays out money, as well as accurately keeps records of money involved in various transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit.
- Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
- Balance drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks.
- Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience using computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous banking experience
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Cash handling experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
