Clerical Position-Temp to Hire Administrative Assistant
Department: Administration
Reports To: Town Manager and/or Town Clerk
Status: Temporary, Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday through Friday, one-hour unpaid lunch break
Hours: 25-28 hours per week
Benefits: Not eligible for Town-sponsored benefits
Pay Range: $17.00 - $18.00 Hourly based on experience
This is a highly responsible clerical position and will require the ability to provide customer service in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner. Employee must possess excellent communication and telephone skills. Employee will be responsible for utility billing and receivables, preparation of work orders, maintaining records, filing systems, computer files, and much more. Employee must perform related work as requested and assigned. Employee must be able to complete tasks independently. This position is in a fast-paced establishment and the ability to multi-task is a must. We strive for a positive work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
· Employee must possess strong computer skills with a minimum of one-year clerical experience.
· Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.
· Have prior cash handling and customer service experience.
· Be flexible to work varied day shift schedules, including weekends and holidays if needed.
